IH Cape Town, LaL Cape Town, and the UCT English Language Centre recently hosted a Familiarisation trip to Cape Town for ten agents from Brazil, Turkey, France, and Poland. The trip took place from April 16-22, 2023 and was designed to give the agents a first-hand experience of the destination they send their students to. By experiencing Cape Town's unique culture, language, and attractions, the agents were able to better understand what their students can expect during their language learning adventure in Cape Town.

During the trip, the agents visited the schools and were able to observe lessons, meet with teachers and students, and gain insight into the quality of language education provided by each school. The agents were impressed with the range of courses offered at the schools, which cater to learners of all levels, and the personalized attention and support provided by the experienced and dedicated teachers.

"The trip was a fantastic opportunity for language travel agents to get a first-hand experience of the schools and facilities available in Cape Town. We believe that Fam trips are essential for language travel agents as they give agents a first-hand experience of the destination where they send their students . This way, agents can ensure that their students have a safe, enjoyable, and educational experience in Cape Town," said one of the organizers.

In addition to visiting the schools, the agents participated in various tourist experiences, including a Drum Workshop that included live performances and PAN African food, a Game Safari, wine tasting, and a city sightseeing bus tour. The agents were also taken to Table Mountain, the Peninsula Tour, and Ikhaya le Langa, a social enterprise in Langa, Cape Town's oldest township. These experiences allowed the agents to see for themselves the rich cultural heritage and stunning natural scenery of Cape Town.

The agents who participated in the trip were impressed with the quality of the English language schools in Cape Town, which offer a range of courses for learners of all levels.
